{ lovely tally }

Our very dear friend came to visit for a few days – so one afternoon we packed up the kiddies, grabbed the camera and headed into the nearby fields to play a little in the afternoon sun.

{Hope we get to see you again soon  Tally}

{it’s all about creating}

I just have so much joy in sharing this post… it kind of bubbles over and makes me smile silly happy smiles. Firstly, I got to hang out with a special friend for most of a day whilst photographing (always great!), but secondly, what we photographed / what I am posting is part of her tentative and brave ‘first steps’ in fulfilling a dream that has been in her heart for so long. And for that, she deserves a huge cheer!

Between juggling two rowdy boys, a hubby who travels loads and moving back to her home country after 5 years abroad, she’s daring to dream again about working with fabrics and to design & turn her ideas into the pretty clothes she so loves to make.

Berit, I wish you all the best for this new season ahead… and all the courage & wisdom you’ll need to know when and where to go, do & sew! I cannot wait to see all that you are still to create. Thanks for entrusting me with the task of photographing a few of the lovely items for your portfolio – it was such a blessing to be a part of your journey.

p.s. a few extra images will be posted HERE  soon (including her lovely wedding dress & handmade crown, so pretty!). Do pop by  in a short while.

jordana & andreas {gamla stan}

I met up with  Jordana and Andreas in Gamla Stan, the old town in inner Stockholm, and we had great fun doing a portrait session, wandering up & down narrow alleyways and peeking into specialist stores whilst taking pictures.

A special thank you to the English Bookstore  and Polkapojkarna both for props & lovely locations. Be sure  not to pass them by on a visit to Gamla Stan!

{Lizelle Tenten, thank you for being my bag / prop carrier and  assistant!}

{love + vintage}

As magical goes, setting up and shooting this styled session with lovely Mathilda in the park surrounding Waldemarsudde (Djurgården, Stockholm) was just that.

* Mathilda, a very big thank for being our (Claire, Heidi and I) model for the day.

*White dress from SALT, props stylist’s own and / or locally sourced.

meet baby milan

Little Milan was born on April 17 to proud mommy and daddy Camelia & Sana Safai. I had great fun photographing a lovely expectant Camelia (click HERE for the shoot) and was really excited to meet this little man for the first time – and to be able to photograph him too. We had a choice of the sweetest little  hats / wraps available for this shoot, all knitted  by friends and family. How precious. x

and a favourite of mine.

time passing

“Autumn wins you best by its mute appeal to sympathy for its decay… ”             Roberth Browning

The passing of time is showed ever so clearly in the subtle things that are constantly changing around us, reminding us that a season is coming to a close, yet within that also promising of yet another that is about to arrive. Here at home we’re slowing down, getting into gear for a holiday in sunny South Africa soon whilst working on a last few projects before this year takes its final bow.

I love the moss on our roof, thriving in the colder, crisp air  – and not least squirrel cheekily darting through our backyard hoping for a rich pickings in the lawn. Perhaps not so much the grey’ing days and dark afternoons, but the softness of the muted palette all around and the dreaminess of the early mornings shrouded in mist does turn this seasonal change into something rather magical up north.

Hope you’re enjoying autumn as much as I am,

x
